Our Practice

We specialise in understanding how changes in brain function affect thinking, emotions, and behaviour. Whether someone is facing challenges after a brain injury, illness, developmental condition, or unexplained difficulties in daily life, we help identify what’s going on and what can be done to support them.

Our process begins with a thorough neuropsychological assessment to explore areas like attention, memory, language, problem-solving, and emotional functioning. We also assess whether these changes stem from an organic cause (such as a brain injury or neurological condition) or a functional cause (such as psychological or psychiatric factors).

From there, we work collaboratively with individuals and their families to create a clear picture of strengths and difficulties, and to make sense of what may be driving the challenges they are experiencing.

We then develop a personalised intervention plan tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. This might include:

  • Cognitive rehabilitation exercises

  • Compensatory strategies to manage daily challenges

  • Psychoeducation for clients and families

  • Guidance for schools, workplaces, or healthcare teams

Our ultimate aim is to support recovery, build resilience, and help individuals lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.

My fascination with human biology and deep curiosity about human behavior and emotions drive my passion for neuropsychology, where I explore the intricate connections between brain function, cognition, and mental health. I have experience in assessing and diagnosing neuropsychological conditions and identifying cognitive profiles associated with brain-related disorders. In addition to my clinical work, I am currently completing a PhD at the University of Cape Town, focusing on the impact of sleep and resilience on emotional regulation in adolescents.
